BELONGING:

The Leadership Summit is a dedicated gathering for all Pacific Northwest Conference leaders to come together, worship, pray, and grow as we reflect on our past and envision the future.

This year’s theme revolves around belonging. We are asking the question, how do we build a beloved community where everyone belongs and thrives?

In Revelation 7:9 (CEB), John paints a vivid picture of a future community where the people of God surround His throne: "There was a great crowd that no one could number. They were from every nation, tribe, people, and language." This diverse multitude stands united in worship, harmoniously praising the Lord as one. This is the direction we, as followers of Jesus, are headed. It's not merely a future to anticipate but one we are called to actively create in partnership with Jesus

From the outset, God has enriched both the world and the church with boundless diversity—a diversity of cultures, personalities, styles, giftings, and callings. We witness this in the intricate tapestry of natural creation (Genesis 1 & 2) and the formation of the early church (Acts 2). To effectively reach and represent the diverse communities we serve and to authentically reflect who Jesus is to the world (John 13:34-35), we will need a diversity of workers for the harvest, lay, and clergy, using a variety of approaches, gifts, and expressions.
